As I was driving home from work today I noticed how pretty 9th Street is again. It is hard to believe that just a few years ago it was ravished by a tornado and looked like a war zone. It was not the only area of Beech Grove that was hit that day either. Think back to that day, remember how you felt? I was so upset that my town and my neighbors and friends were hurt/upset/etc. Everyone came together and helped each other out. Neighbors helping each other during their time of need....
Remember that time - then think about things now - read the blogs
One person mentioned several of the people in this town who grew up within 100 yards of each other - neighbors
Let's not be that town - the one that pretends we are a close knit community, only to rip each other apart when the times are good or bad, depending on your opinion of the way things are.
Thoughts anyone ..............?

Nicely worded, only time and people will tell what may come next. But even after a forest fire, when things look bleak, the area usually comes back greener, more alive.
Groovy Grover - welcome to the blogosphere. What a joy! A blog about The Grove that is positive, I love it!
I agree, the tornado was a scary time, thank God that no one was seriously hurt. Time has allowed the landscape to heal and 9th Ave no longer shows the ravage of that storm.
Emerson is also showing wonderful signs of growth and beauty. I am looking forward to the official completion, so far the changes are proving to be something beautiful to look at.
